Hello again beautiful people! Today is Wednesday, which means it's time for another playlist post! Comment below if you want us to do these more often, but it makes more sense to do them every 2 weeks since I typically don't switch up my playlist THAT often.
These past few weeks I have been really into a wide variety of songs and bands. I know Ana only posted about 5 or so of her top songs, but I will bore you to death by posting twice as many. Sorry 'bout that.
Let's get on with it then...
Somebody To You, The Vamps ft. Demi Lovato
(album: Somebody To You - EP)
I don't even know what about this song appealed to me since I generally do not listen to anything by Demi Lovato (just a personal preference), but I play it all the time, especially when I'm walking to the bus stop (and Starbuck's, duh).
Wait On Me, Rixton
(album: Wait On Me - Single)
I love this song so much you don't even know. I was kind of obsessed when "Me And My Broken Heart" came out, but this song knocks my socks off. The beat is awesome, the voices are amazing, and honestly that's all that matters, especially when I've had a long day at school.
Heart Made Up On You, R5
(album: Heart Made Up On You - EP)
I never really thought of myself as someone who would listen to R5 but man, this song is amazing! It's got just enough punk but quite a bit of pop and um, who doesn't enjoy listening to Ross Lynch's beautiful voice? Quite frankly I would listen to him read his grocery lists (yes, that was a Fault In Our Stars reference).
Animals, Maroon 5
(album: V)
Yeah, I realize this song probably has a dirty meaning behind it, but I love to ignore that since this song is life. Plus, the official music video is pretty amazing and the special effects are awesome, so you should definitely go check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BJ3ZXpserc
It Was Always You, Maroon 5
(album: V)
I literally want to cry because I want to go to the Maroon 5 concert so badly but tickets are $100 at cheapest! This song makes me cry and smile at the same time because it's so sweet that I'm just like, "Why can't I have somebody who feels this way about me?" I mean obviously I always have Ana, even if we grow up and raise a cat farm, but still?
Riptide, Vance Joy
(album: God Loves You When You're Dancing - EP)
I love how this song is calming and energetic all at once, but the lyrics make no sense. Sometimes things just make more sense when they make no sense though.
Secrets, Mary Lambert
(album: Heart On My Sleeve)
I wish this song had come out when I was 12. It would have made finding my true self so much easier to wrap my head around. I think the true meaning of this song is to just be yourself, there's no one else who could do it any better than you, so suck it up and embrace your true personality.
Somewhere In Brooklyn, Bruno Mars
(album: Doo-Wops & Hooligans)
Funny how accurately his description of the girl fits me. Literally, I live in my beat up Converse. This song came on Pandora the other day and I just can't even. It's slow and sweet and perfect and it's too much.
Headphones, Matt Nathanson
(album: Headphones (feat. LOLO) - Single)
I heard this song for the first time on the radio and I fell in love, that's how amazing of a song it is. I feel like it accurately describes most of my emotions too, which is a plus. To be completely honest, I was playing this song so much that I think my grandma started to like it. And the only music she ever listens to comes off of a violin.
2 On, Tinashe
(album: Aquarius)
This is probably the strangest out of all. It comes on all the time when I'm walking and for some reason I tend to walk faster and with more purpose when it's on. Maybe it's the cool beat? I don't really know.
So that's all I have for you guys :) I hope you enjoyed a peek at my rather odd music taste. If you have any recommendations or know of any good songs, please comment them down below and we'll let you know what we think! You can always tweet us or DM us on Instagram too ;) @twotimeslife
Don't forget to look out for Ana's blog post on Friday!
Love ya ♥︎
